The main areas where we take volunteers are in:
- maintenance
- catering
- housekeeping
- reception
- administration.
If someone has a specific skill (for instance mechanic or computer skills) we would place the person in that particular area.
A volunteer would live at our Training Centre and stay in a dormitory or shared bedroom. For older people needing more privacy, we would offer one of the bedrooms, if places are available.
- A minimum of one month commitment is needed.

They cannot normally join in the training sessions and evangelism during their practical work schedule. However, if they want to join in the evening or on their day off, they are welcome to do so. They can join Global Challenge short term outreaches.

They are expected to join our daily team devotions for 30 minutes and take part in prayer night on Thursdays, when we pray for OM and the world and also prayer emphasis day once a month.

Volunteers need to be Christian believers, recommended by their OM home office and be able to maintain a conversation in English. We take volunteers who are 17 years or older.
OM Lifehope provides a good opportunity for people to be challenged in their Christian faith as they live and work alongside an international community who have a heart for mission. It is an excellent venue to improve English skills.
